A group of Foster and Adoptive Parents trained and licensed by the County of Orange

 

Purpose: Where are we going?

We purpose to raise up from within the body of this church, MVCC, a group of parents who will become licensed Foster/Adoptive parents, and help raise children that are not able to live with their birth parents. We further purpose that through the example of Christ in our lives, and through other ministry opportunities, that we will MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the life of a child or children.

 

Plan: How are we going to get there?

We will encourage parents in the body who feel the desire to help, and connect them to the Orange County Social Services Agency (OC SSA), where they will receive information about how they can help. This will be done through regular marketing of the need for foster/adoptive parents.

 

Goal:  What will it look like when we arrive?

MVCC will have a number of foster parents licensed by the County of Orange, who will be providing secure, loving homes to a child or children in need, on either a short or a long term basis.

We will also have a number of adoptive parents who will be making a child or children a permanent part of their family.

We will have a support group of foster/adoptive parents available to provide guidance and information to new or less experienced F/A parents. We will continue to recruit new F/A parents from this and other churches, using existing parents, and recruiting materials provided by the OC SSA.

 

Children will be having their needs met by people who are unselfishly giving of themselves. Both parties will be blessed, and God, who purposes it all, will receive the glory!
